tiktok is such an awful app, it's almost designed to feed you misinformation and expose you to insane discourse. unlike beloved tumblr, the app that feeds me misinformation and exposes me to insane discourse

No, no, no, you see on tiktok an algorithm feeds you misinformation. On Tumblr I feed myself misinformation from my charcuterie board of hand-selected unhinged mutuals.

lierdumoa

None of that mass market junk. Only artisanal, small batch, sustainably cultivated, fair trade horseshit.

Hngngng long story but I booked myself in for a massage for the first time bcs someone gave me a gift card to a spa, never had one done before so chose a hot stone massage bcs that sounded nice, as I assumed they just massaged you and then put hot stones on your back??

Well idk if I’ve been had over here ladies or if this is just the way they normally do it but the woman literally oiled me from head to toe like a rotisserie chicken going in to bake (which was lovely v calming) but then she took two hot stones and held them in her hand and like rubbed me all over with them??? Massaged me with the stones, like I was inside a rock polisher??? It felt nice, like she REALLY massaged my whole body but everyone I’ve mentioned this to seems to think that’s absolutely insane and I can’t find anywhere online saying that’s how you do it either??

Pls let me know in the poll if that’s normal or whether I just had the weirdest first massage of my life, this was a really professional spa as well so I didn’t wanna question it when I was the hfnfnf

Is it normal to be massaged with rocks during a hot stone massage pls answer im going insane???

No they’re meant to just be placed on your skin

Yes that’s totally normal and not insane xoxo

Jordana LeSesne (1.8.7) is a Black trans woman. She is widely regarded as the top drum and bass producer in the world. Without her, we wouldn’t have electronic music as we know it today.

She came out in 1998 and went on to get a contract with the Syfy Channel, be profiled in Rolling Stone, and have several albums chart in the Top 25.

She also mixed the original music for the FREE Cece documentary!

[id: the first image is a facebook post shared to Native American Story’s Group, a photo with caption. the caption says, Just received this photo from a friend of mines territorial land… born yesterday! heart emoji.

the second image is just the photo. is an image of three buffalo standing in scrubland. one glances towards the camera. another stands patiently while their child drinks their milk. in contrast to the deep browns of the adult buffalo - one almost black - the child is a stark, brilliant white.

In this model of Tesla, apparently—get this—according to the Tesla manual, you do it on a touchscreen.

Did a human being just die because of swiping the wrong way?

...And then, when you're in the water and the car's power systems (which operate the doors, because of course they do) have all gone down, how do you get out?

You partially disassemble the door and pull out one specific wire. The image via Warren Terra at Bluesky.)

...I don't know about the rest of you, but I am never getting into one of these alleged vehicles. Ever.

...you know, we've been saying that these things are deathtraps, but holy SHIT

I feel compelled to point out that the diagram above is for the back door. I still don't know where to find the wire to open the front doors.

This is why anyone who actually works in tech (being a tech ceo does not count as working) is wary at best about making things "smarter". The failure mode for a computerized mechanism should be functioning as a non-computerized mechanism, but very often the failure mode for a fully-smart device is undefined behaviour that the manufacturer doesn't intend for you to ever see. And that means there's no recourse in situations like this.

why does this have 32k notes? it’s just a picture of a knife in a ranch bottle, is there some unspoken joke that 32 thousand people share? what is going on here, i dont get it. it’s just a fucking picture of a knife in a ranch bottle. is there some spiritual connection people have to this picture? is there some ominous and mystical reasoning that this has 32 thousand notes? do people reblog this because it makes them look like some indie blogger? or is there just something funny to this? someone please explain

This has come on a bit since 32K notes, proving that Tumblr appreciates a really pointed observation.

this is one of the reasons it’s so hard to translate on the fly 😭 monoglots just don’t understand and think you’re bad at the source language 😟

I’ve done it, Polish/Spanish and the reverse, which is, IMO, not the most difficult. Still, requires intense concentration; after a few hours I felt mentally drained. But, what a good exercise for the brain!
